The National Programme on Electronics and ICT Applications in Agriculture and Environment (AgriEnIcs), funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and hosted by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Kolkata, has successfully driven innovation through five focused R&D projects. Under this initiative, nine commercially viable products and technologies have been developed and delivered, addressing critical needs in the agriculture and environment sectors. Among the standout innovations is Go-P, a 24/7 cattle health monitoring system, with 32 deployments including 18 at NDRI Kalyani, enhancing livestock management through real-time insights. AIR Pravah, an IoT-based outdoor air quality monitoring solution, is now utilized by major cement manufacturers such as Ultratech Cement, with the technology transferred to J.M. Envirolab Pvt. Ltd. CT-VIEU, a conveyorized vision inspection system for dry red chili quality assessment, has been deployed across 18 agricultural market committees in various states, streamlining quality control. A low-cost tomato sorting machine, designed to automate sorting by ripeness and size, offers an affordable and efficient alternative to manual methods. Grain-Ex, a conveyorized grain analysis system, has been successfully implemented at five locations, including Rashtriya e Market Services Pvt. Ltd. in Karnataka and ICAR-IARI in New Delhi. These innovations reflect AgriEnIcs' strong commercial potential and its commitment to advancing agriculture through scalable, technology-driven solutions.
